BTEC First Diploma in Sport Level 2 at Townsend CofE School
The following units of study will be completed.
Fitness Testing and Training, Practical Sport, Anatomy and Physiology, Injury in Sport, Nutrition for Sports Performance, Psychology for Sports Performance and Exercise and Fitness Instruction.
LEARNING METHODS AND ASSESSMENT
Within the year students will study 7 Units, all of which are coursework based and externally examined.
All units are graded ‘Pass’, ‘Merit’ or ‘Distinction’.
EXPECTATIONS OF STUDENTS
Students are expected to be taking part in at least one sport outside of school. Coursework is required to be submitted in the form of presentations, written reports, research material and practical assessment.
Four or more GCSE grades at A*-D including Maths and English
