Physics GCSE Level 1/2 at Oakwood Park Grammar School

Course description

A multi-unit course consisting of the core, additional and extension units for edexcel 360 science course. The student will cover varied topics such as electricity, electromagnetism, waves, space, forces, motion, radioactivity, particle physics and medical physics. Students will also see how science theory is arrived at and its applicability to the world. Assessment is a combination of internal assessments, multiple-choice externally set tests, teacher assessment and a final written exam.

Entry requirements

Compulsory, this course must be taken with GCSE Biology and Chemistry

Future opportunities

You could take this course to prepare for advanced level courses such as an A/AS Level in Science and specialise further in Physics or you may need to strengthen your grades by completing a foundation or intermediate vocational qualification.With further training, you could go into a job related to science and physics such as an Science Teacher, Physician or Engineer.You could also go straight into employment and do further training or part time study with the support of your employer.
