Music BTEC Level 3 Advance Subsiduary Diploma at Benton Park School

Course description

A range of 6 units studied over the course of two years – this is selected by the students in accordance with the abilities/talents of the class each year.

There are over 40 potential units of study for this course, so all skill bases are able to be covered for any given cohort. This makes the course relevant to students and the modern music industry and gives them a wealth of musical experience and transferable skills.

Entry requirements

Access to the Sixth Form is based on prior academic achievement, behaviour and attendance records. Students must attain at least 5 A* - C grades including English and Maths.


100% Practical assessment with combined written theory/presentation/project reports across the two years.

Music enables students grow in confidence through presentations and performance and as such is suitable for a variety of progression pathways including:
