Biology at Heston Community School

Course description

Students will study the key concepts of Biology in a wide range of contexts and applications. Students will develop their understanding of how different scientific aspects link together and how society is affected by controversial biological issues. The study of practical Biology underpins the whole course and students will be given plenty of opportunity to develop their planning, implementation, analysis and evaluation skills.

Entry requirements

You must have achieved a Grade 5 in English and Grade 6 in Mathematics and an Attainment 8 GCSE score of 46 in the remaining subjects.  In addition to this minimum entry requirement, it is preferable for students to have achieved at least GCSE Grade 6 in any subject that they intend to study at A level.
