Entry requirements

You may enter upon successful completion of the one-year Level 3 Tec Subsidiary Certificate in Fashion Retail. Alternatively you may enter with a BTEC First Diploma in Art & Design at a Merit or Distinction grade. At interview you will need to show evidence of your artwork in the form of a portfolio and/or sketchbooks so that we can assess your potential. I’ve re-worded this slightly; please review to ensure it is still accurate in what it communicates.

More mature applicants may present a more varied profile of achievement that is likely to include experience of paid and/or unpaid employment.

All modules are internally assessed through assignments and are subject to external moderation. Assignments include a variety of assessment methods, including exploratory work, case studies and outcomes linked to industry practise, incorporating current influences and within realistic deadlines.

Financial information

There is an annual studio fee of £200 which is used to provide course materials needed in classes as well as contributing to educational trips and end of year show.

Future opportunities

All our programmes are designed to allow you to progress to University for specialist Degrees, Foundation Degrees or into the workplace. The direct progression from this programme would be the HNC in Fashion & Retail.

This Level 3 course will provide students with the opportunity to progress onto employment in the creative industries sector or to continue a creative career path at Higher Education.
