Health and Social Care Intermediate Apprenticeship at Wiltshire College
When you work in Health and Care, you don't just go home with a wage, you know your work is helping others and making our society a better place.
It is important to have good people skills, be able to listen effectively and talk to people to find out what help they need.
You will need to plan and organise your own tasks and work with others, including colleagues, people from other organisations such as the NHS, clients and their families.
It is important that we care for the disabled and elderly people in our community, and you can find roles which support them in their own home or in a setting such as a care homes or hospices.
Minimum Entry Level 3 or GCSE grade E in Maths and English. All applicants will be required to pass initial assessments in Maths and English.
Apprenticeships are designed with the help of employers, so they offer a structured programme that takes you through the skills you need to do a job well. Each apprenticeship involves a structured programme of training leading to a recognised qualification, and they are available at different levels, letting you choose the speed you wish to learn at.
You could progress onto the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Health & Social care. Apprenticeships in this area can also lead you to a career in supporting young people; in schools, as childcare providers and as a youth support worker.
