Photography at Hastingsbury Business and Enterprise College

Course description

To seek an expressive and/or interpretative artistic response to the visual world, which is produced with the aid of lens based media and may be manipulated by digital technology.

Students will be given the opportunity to develop their creative, intellectual and imaginative capabilities across a broad range of media, including traditional and new media technologies. The course will cover a plethora of specialisms from fashion and war photography to documentary, allowing students the opportunity to not only critically interpret images but also learn the skills to create their own.

Entry requirements

Minimum of 5 GCSE passes atA*-C from at least 4 different subjects. The department requires a Grade C or above in English to study Photography. Grade C or above in another media, visual art of design based subject would also be desirable and will help your application. To support the course there may be a necessity to purchase some form of photographic equipment over the duration of the Sixth Form.
