Performing Manufacturing Operations - Apprenticeship (Level 2) at Alliance Learning

Course description

The focus is to be able to operate effectively in a manufacturing environment, carrying out a wide range of activities such as:

- Analysing and testing products

- Controlling manufacturing operations

- Producing shaped products

- Making products using computer controlled equipment

Course content

Manufacturing Process Operator - Sets and operates machines during production, plans and sets up the sequence of operations according to drawings, layouts and other instructions

 

 

 

 

 

Production Inspector - Inspects sub-assemblies or finished products for faults before the next phase of production or delivery to the customer

 

Assembly Operator - Assemble products using jigs and tools, could work in the following sectors: electrical, electronic, automotive, aviation, metal goods, marine etc

Entry requirements

Some employers require specific GCSE grades (4 - 9)

Assessment

You will be required to sit an English, Maths and ICT initial assessment before starting the Apprenticeship programme to check you are at a suitable level.
