Trowel Occupations Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 at PETROC

Course description

An Apprenticeship in Trowel Occupations will allow the student to work towards the Construction Diploma Level 3 and NVQ Level 3 in Trowel Occupations. To qualify, the candidate will need to be working within the construction industry with an employer carrying out the relevant work experience and evidence recording for NVQ portfolio.

The course will be delivered at the Petroc Brannams Campus, in Barnstaple. Practical sessions will be taught in our fully equipped trowel occupations workshop.

Course content

As this is an advanced apprenticeship, the criteria will be aimed at more decorative and complex features within the construction industry. This course is to show the ability of structuring the smooth running of a work force and construction site.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at Grade C or above


You will receive support and 12 weekly reviews with your Placement Officer and regular NVQ assessment in the workplace. There is a theory test at the end of each unit as well as an overall end of year online test.
