Entry requirements

Apart from the minimum entry requirements for the Sixth Form you are expected to achieve at least a B grade in History and a grade 5 in English Language.

Future opportunities

If you are considering employment after A Levels, employers look favourably on a History A Level because of the skills you will have developed – These include analysing problems, clarifying issues & putting them into perspective, research, forming & supporting opinions and communicating your judgements to others in a variety of ways. History is a good stepping stone for a wide range of degree courses and graduate employment in many areas such as Archaeology, Broadcasting, Civil Service, Conservation, Heritage Management, Journalism, Law, Museums, Personnel, Marketing, Police, Teaching and many more.
