Course description

Are you ready to take the world of business by storm? Throughout the course you will explore exciting career opportunities in small businesses and large organisations across a ranging from finance to travel, as well as developing a strong theoretical business knowledge.

Course content

This course will develop the knowledge and skills crucial for success in business. Develop your communication skills, team working and time management.

You will study a range of subjects including:

  • Principles of marketing

  • Business online

  • Enterprise in business

  • Small business planning

  • Finance for business

  • Promoting a brand

  • Sales and personal selling

  • Recruitment and employment

You’ll be taught by a skilled team of staff eager to pass on their professional knowledge and experience. Central to the course is learning to research, work independently and participating in practical workshops. Alongside your course you’ll study English and maths and take part in GAP work placements to develop your skills and confidence.

Entry requirements

3 GCSEs (A*-D) including English or successful completion of Level 1 programme. You will then be invited to a course introduction meeting.

Don't meet the grades? Take a look at the Level 1 Diploma in Business for a great foundation in business and management, you will be able to progress to the Level 2 upon successful completion.

Further information

Progress to the Level 3 Diploma in subjects including business, IT or travel and tourism. Or work in jobs as varied as sales, buying, finance, administration and general office work.
