Plumbing Level 1 Diploma at East Surrey College

Course description

If you are interested in a career in the plumbing industry then this is the entry course for you. You will learn the basic skills required for the industry, health and safety, and work as part of a team, whilst working in a fully equipped and realistic workshop. This course is a combination of practical work and theory.

Course content

Units/topics covered:
 Health & safety in the plumbing industry
 Understanding the structure of the industry
 Basic pipe bending and soldering skills

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs grade A - D that include Maths & English.

If you are under 19 on 31/08/2016, tuition is free. If you are 19 or over please consult Client Services for advice and guidance on funding and eligibility.
Please be aware that there may be additional costs for equipment and educational visits. This information will be available from the curriculum staff at interview.

To meet health and safety requirements within our realistic work environment, learners must provide steel toe-capped boots/safety shoes and must wear suitable clothing.
