If you have serious aspirations about playing football at a higher level whilst furthering your academic studies, apply for a place at Tonbridge Angels Football Academy.


Tonbridge Angels is in partnership with Hugh Christie School offering a range of academic and vocational qualifications including A-Levels, BTEC levels 2 and 3 in sport and Football Association Coaching Badges at levels 1 and 2.

Course content

Units of Study



· BTEC Level 2 in Sport

· BTEC Level 3 in Sport (Development, Coaching & Fitness)




Units within the BTEC Courses;

· Anatomy Physiology

· Fitness Testing

· Sports Coaching

· Sports Nutrition

· Leadership in Sport

· Sports Injuries

· Assessing Risk in Sport


Entry requirements

Entry Requirements

BTEC Level 2 in Sport

Five GCSEs at Grades 1 to 3 with interview


BTEC Level 3 in Sport

Five GCSEs at Grade 5 or above including English and Maths with academic interview.




Students will undertake 9 hours of football training with UEFA ‘A’ Licenced coaches outside of their academic timetable and represent Tonbridge Angels Football Club in the Conference Youth Alliance League (Wednesday afternoons).
