Course description

With millions of cars on the road there is a high demand for skilled technicians to maintain and repair them. This Apprenticeship will help the candidates become conversant with vehicle body repair techniques used in the vehicle repair industry. It will cover activities that are undertaken by body repairers working on a wide range of vehicles. The candidate will need to cover:- Diploma in Vehicle Body Repair Level 3- Technical Certificate in Vehicle Body Repair- Employees Rights and Responsibilities- Personal Learning and Thinking skillsFunctional Skills Level 2 in: - Mathematics- English- Information TechnologyTechnologyExamples of units covered:- Remove and replace structural vehicle panels- Repair structural vehicle panels- Rectify vehicle misalignmentWhat's next?Vehicle RefinishingBody and Paint

Course content

Apprentices gain practical skills and qualifications that your business needs both now and in the future. They deliver a tailored development programme working alongside the in-house training of your business to attain a nationally recognised qualification.

Entry requirements

You must be in relevant employment to start an Apprenticeship.Achieve 50% in Level 2 diagnostics in English and Mathematics.


The Diploma is evaluated through:- a series of practical and on-line assessments- a portfolio of work. The Technical Certificate is assessed through:- theory based tests or assignmentsFunctional Skills are assessed through: - tests where appropriateAverage duration is 19 months.
