Law A Level at Queen Mary's College
Course description
You will learn how laws and legal decisions are made and you will be able to solve problems by applying legal rules and legal arguments. During the course you will develop knowledge and understanding of several areas of law and you will make an in-depth study of criminal law. The work will be a combination of essays, problem based questions, and studying legal sources. In addition, mini-trials are used in lessons to develop understanding of court procedure, to reinforce the substantive legal rules and to acquire skills in formulating and presenting arguments. You will also have the opportunity to hear outside speakers and to see the law in action in the courts.
