Children and Young People's Workforce Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 at The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London

Course description

An Apprenticeship is a combination of workplace training and classroom learning. You will complete a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce, Paediatric First Aid, key skills in communication and application of number and work skills which form the Apprenticeship Framework.

Course content

Workshops will provide you with the knowledge for working with children and young people.

Entry requirements

You must be at least 16 and you must be employed in an appropriate early years setting such as school, nursery, group childminder, pre-school or after school club/holiday play schemes in a supervisory or managerial role. A Level 2 qualification is desirable but not essential if you have extensive work-based experience.


You will be assigned an assessor who will carry out observations and professional discussions with you in the work setting and will support you to build a portfolio of evidence. For your key skills you will complete a portfolio of work and take a short test.

Future opportunities

This qualification will enable you to gain promotion in employment including managerial positions and the opportunity to progress to higher education.
