WHAT DOES THE SUBJECT INCLUDE?

The Travel and Tourism course has been designed to provide you with the opportunity to gain detailed academic knowledge and understanding of travel and tourism industry. You have the opportunity to work overseas for two weeks to gain work experience and knowledge of the local culture.

WHAT IS THE STRUCTURE OF THE COURSE?

The course is made up of 180 credits over 2 years, with units being valued at either 5 or 10 credits. Each of which is assessed by a range of methods including written assessments, role play, presentations and practical activities.

If you have an interest in travelling and working with people and are hoping to pursue a career in the UK or overseas or one of the many sport, leisure or recreation related areas then this is the course for you.

Entry requirements

WHAT ARE THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS?

4 GCSE’s at C grade or above (or at levels 4-9 on new GCSE grading framework). Level 2 Travel (or other relevant Level 2 qualification) at pass grade. Students are required to be self-motivated, disciplined and to take a degree of responsibility for their own learning.
