Food and Beverage Service Supervision Level 3 Diploma at City College Brighton and Hove
In the hospitality industry you'll need strong management and leadership skills to control the fast moving and exciting environment of a restaurant.
This course gives you the opportunity to develop these management skills through the management of level 1 and 2 students in our training restaurant: The Gallery at City College Brighton and Hove.
Whilst studying and working in the restaurant you will acquire all the skills needed to move on to a management position in the hospitality industry when you leave.
Units include :
- Provide leadership for your team
- Develop productive working relationships with colleagues
- Contribute to the control of resources
- Maintain health and hygiene, safety, security in the working environment.
- Lead the team to improve customer service.
- Supervise a function
- Supervise drink and food services service
- Monitor and solve customer service problems
- Lead and manage meetings
Minimum Level 2 qualification in the same vocational subject.
- Evidence gathering.
- Report writing
All full time courses are free to EU residents who are under 19 years old on the 31st August 2016. The only fees you have to pay are for specialist resources and equipment and the cost of these varies from £25 to £300 depending upon the subject you are studying.
Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial help from the college's learner support funds. You should apply for financial support as soon as you receive your offer letter.
After successfully completing this course you can apply for the Foundation Degree in Hospitality & Event Management at City College, or one of the many other degree level programs around the country.
Alternatively, you will have the skills and confidence to progress onto a supervisory role in the workplace.
