Photography AS/A Level at The Open Academy

Course description

Photography will provide you with all the artistic and technical skills you need to be a successful photographer. You will produce projects, where you will have the opportunity to showcase all of the new skills and techniques you have learnt. All of the work you produce throughout your course will be included in your creative portfolio, which can be used when applying for Photography courses or can assist with entry into employment.

The course is 50% coursework portfolio and 50% Practical Exam.

This course may provide access to Higher Education. It is ideally suited to students who have an interest in Media/Visual Communications. You will earn UCAS points that contribute to a university application.

Studying Photography at this level is the natural route if you wish to embark on a career in the visual and related arts.

Entry requirements

Normal OA6 entry point for an AS/A Level programme of study is 5 A*-C GCSE grades including English and Mathematics.
