BTEC First Extended Certificate in Travel & Tourism Level 2 at Altwood CofE Secondary School

Course description

BTEC First in Travel and Tourism is to inspire and enthuse learners to consider a career in the travel and tourism sector. The course gives learners an opportunity to gain a broad knowledge and understanding of, and develop skills in, the travel and tourism sector.

The course will support progression to a more specialised level 3 vocational or academic tourism course or an apprenticeship.

On successful completion of the course learners will the potential opportunity, in due course, to enter employment within a wide range of junior job roles across the travel and tourism sector, for example, posts in travel agencies, visitor attractions and the tourist information centre.

3 GCSE grades C and above
