Art & Design at Maltby Academy

Course description

A Level Art and Design course has two components over two years. Component one is a personal investigation and component two is an externally set assignment concluding in a 15 hour exam. It is mostly practical with a small written element. There will be several trips and visits.

Careers are varied such as:- Architecture, all aspects of design-graphic, interior design, theatre and media work, computer graphic design, fashion and photography.

Art & design GCSE B (C with approval following submission of portfolio) with minimum of 4 other GCSE's including English and Maths 5+
