Art and Design (Textiles) A Level at Oldershaw Academy

Course description

Throughout both the AS and A Level course, students will be encouraged to develop their work through a variety of approaches and techniques identifying their own areas of strength. Practical work is taught by specialist art teachers and A’ level work is usually carried out in the Sixth Form Studio, which enables students to continue work during private study periods. Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of enrichment activities, including artists’ workshops and trips to galleries in London, Manchester and Liverpool and overseas visits to Europe and the USA.
