Course description

As Subject content includes:

  • Media texts, concepts and contexts.
  • Platforms including e-media, broadcasting and print.
  • Independent research, preproduction and planning two practical productions.
  • Technical and creative skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and conventions

    A2 Subject content includes

  • Cross media issues and debates
  • Media theories
  • Conclusions to be based on the evidence
  • Linked production piece

  • Entry requirements

    Typically students need at the very least 5 or more GCSE’s at grade C or above to be successful on an Advanced Course. There are more than 30 subjects to choose from though some may require more than a C grade.
