Study Programme at Nacro (Sheffield )

Course description

Have you finished school and are not sure what to do next?

Do you need help and advice to build up your work skills and experience?

Do you want to 'try before you buy'?

Our Study Programme is just for you!

We are running a new type of programme that will allow you to try any of our different vocational areas of:

  • Sheffield - motor vehicles, catering, sports, uniformed services, retail. We also offer Motor Vehicle & Catering Apprenticeships
  • Doncaster - uniformed services, sports, retail

Whilst learning in your chosen area and improving your English & Maths skills you will have the chance to work on the things employers look for: 

  • experience
  • confidence
  • communication skills
  • personal presentation

And also on the things you need such as career planning, interview techniques, how to produce and use a CV and so on.

We will organise work tasters for you

Most of all we make sure you have FUN while doing all this!

Our aim is to help you achieve your aim.

One to One help to guide you through

A willingness to learn and join in.

Assessment

Assessment is informal and ongoing.  You build your own portfolio of evidence as you progress through the course.

Financial information

Training is free and you get subsidised travel and access to our excellent subsidised canteen facilities.

We even have a free gym on site and access to Pond's Forge (Sheffield only) after initial period of training

Future opportunities

All we want is your success. Our aim is to help you progress into employment, further education, college or an apprenticeship and we will support you throughout your course to ensure that you move onto the most appropriate option for you.

Further information

Possibility of bursary payments of up to £20 per week. We also have a refer a friend scheme where each referal will gain you a £50 voucher and there are no limits to how much you can earn.

You will be entitled to subsidised travel. A 2 week free travel pass during your first 2 weeks on programme.

Free use of gym throughout the course.

Access to Pond's Forge facilities (Sheffield only) after an initial period.

We are a supportive training provider, located in the centres of both Sheffield and Doncaster
