Course description

During this course you will take part in live performances, running theatre shows and organising a variety of projects throughout the year in multiple venues on and off campus. In addition you will learn about the careers and employment opportunities within the Production and Performing Arts Industry.

This highly vocational course is designed to give you the knowledge you need to get out into the industry and start working on all kinds of live events and productions. Many of the skills you will learn are theatre based and they are transferable to other areas of industry such as conferencing, sporting events, television work, radio production, music gigs and festivals.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at grades C or above, including English and Maths. Alternatively BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts or other related performance qualifications at merit grade.

Future opportunities

The course is the equivalent of 2 ‘A’ levels and this course enables you to progress onto Higher Education courses at universities throughout the UK.
