Course description

Course Content You will develop an understanding of how the body physiologically reacts to physical activity. You will develop knowledge of the factors affecting sports performance. You will participate and evaluate in sporting physical performances. 18 Units over 2 years, including:

Anatomy for Sport and Exercise Sport and Exercise Psychology

Research Project in Sport and Exercise Sciences

Sport and Exercise

Physiology Research for Sport and Exercise Sciences

Fitness Testing for Sport & Exercise Exercise, Health & Lifestyle Fitness

Training and Programming Current issues in Sport Instructing

Physical Activity & Exercise Sports Coaching

Applied Sport & Exercise Psychology

Sports Nutrition Sport Injuries

Practical Team Sports Outdoor & Adventurous

Activities Work Experience in Sport Sports

Biomechanics in Action

Entry requirements

You will need at least 5 GCSEs at A* - C (including GCSE Mathematics and/or GCSE English Language). minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grades A*-C (including English Language and Mathematics) or a BTEC First Diploma (Distinction)
