BTEC Extended Certificate in Art and Design Level 2 at Stockton Riverside College

Course description

Take a look around, everything you see has been designed by someone, from your smart phone to your shoes, even the pattern on your socks! Studying Art & Design will give you a new way of looking at things, the perfect way to get into the creative industries.

Course content

Our Art and Design courses will help you discover your own creativity by exploring different techniques. By carrying out a range of projects you will develop skills in drawing and painting, sculpture, textiles and graphics. You will also visit exhibitions, have a go at location work and see your own work exhibited.

Entry requirements

For this course you will need an Art & Design Level 1 qualification or equivalent, or four GCSE's at grade D-E


You will have continuous assessment by your tutors on a regular basis throughout the year. You will receive both formal and informal assessment reviews, as well as regular tutorials and progress reviews.

Future opportunities

After this course you would move on to the BTEC Art & Design Extended Diploma Level 3.
