Graphic Design BTEC Level 3 Award at Sutton College of Learning for Adults - SCOLA

Course description

The course is made up of 2 specialist units from the BTEC Level 3 Graphics Short Course Framework. (See the syllabus at, follow links to BTEC Specialist and Short Course Qualifications, subject family: Art and Design. The tutor will advise you which units will be studied on the first session) Students complete 2 units for the Award. You will learn the following skills: How to use creative thinking techniques for design problem solving Principles of graphic image composition How to use typography effectively How to use digital technology in the production of graphic design material Presentation skills

Entry requirements

This course is not suitable for beginners. Applicants should be able to show a good all round visual ability through drawing, painting, or photography. Recent School leavers should have a GCSE in Art and Design grade C or above, or an equivalent qualification.
