Course description

Focus your creativity. Specialist practical units in all performance styles in acting, singing and dance as well as academic units covering the context of performance, research and business aspects of the performing industries. The course is exciting and challenging and designed to provide for the many career and higher education opportunities to specialist drama/dance colleges and universities as well as entry into employment.

Course content

Ideal if you are interested in Musical Theatre and want a hands-on course which can help you progress to the next level. You will also take part in classroom sessions which introduce business and entrepreneurship projects to help build your general knowledge of a range of skills and techniques in the performing arts and Maths and English.

Entry requirements

A successful audition and 4 GCSEs A*- C ideally including Maths & English, or you will have completed the OCR Level 2 in Performing Arts at merit grade.


You will be assessed through both practical and theory based assignment work often built into performance projects covering a range of different performing arts disciplines.

Future opportunities

You can progress to specialist drama/dance colleges and universities nationally as well as entry into employment or an apprenticeship.
