Art and Design Photography Level 3 Diploma at Lincoln College

Course description

If you want to pursue a career in photography then this is an excellent place to start. This course will provide you with the underpinning skills and knowledge to progress through the levels of photography. The course introduces students to studio and location photography and provides the opportunity to practice a range of specialisms.
Upon successful completion you will be able to progress onto our Level 3 Extended Diploma in Photography, preparing you for employment in the sector.
During this course, you will study a variety of specialisms and techniques, including: documentary; fine art; editorial; advertising and fashion photography.


Entry requirements

You will need 4 GCSE’s including Mathematics or English and an Art of Design subject (minimum grade C) not including Expressive Arts, or a Level 2 Diploma in Art and Design.
You will be required to attend an interview, where you will be required to show your art and design ability in a portfolio of artwork. You are also required to provide a reference (from an employer or recent school/college report).


Assessment is a combination of individual meetings and formal assessments, where work is submitted for grading.
