ESOL Progression for Young People Diploma at Epping Forest College

Course description

ESOL Progression is suitable for young people who are new to the UK and need to develop their English language skills while completing their education.

The programme consists of English (Reading, Speaking & Listening and Writing) mathematics and employability lessons. Additionally, there will be the opportunity to try various vocational and academic subjects as well as weekly tutorials to help you progress into the academic or vocational course of your choice.

Entry requirements

All learners will be assessed at interview.

Assessment

Exam based assessment for Reading, Speaking & Listening and Writing modules. You will also complete units in community participation, preparation for work & IT to gain a certificate in Progression.

Future opportunities

At the end of your course you should be ready to progress to the next level of study. Once you have achieved ESOL Level 1 you will have the opportunity to progress onto vocational courses, whilst continuing to receive English support. You will also be able to use your improved English skills in everyday life and at work.

      The College is easily accessed by less then 10 minutes drive from both the M25 and M11 motorways.

      We’re also a 5 minute walk from the London Underground at Debden Station on the Central Line, 
      and we’re a 10 minute cab ride from Chingford Overground rail station.

      Once you arrive at the College there is a free car park with over 250 spaces, 
      as well as designated areas for coaches and other large vehicles.

       

      Once on site you can have access to our catering facilities (subject to agreement) and a range of rooms, 
      from our Theatre, with 264 retractable seats, to a standard classroom.

      We also have full IT support, and can offer rooms with either Macs or PCs running the latest industry-standard software.
