Music at Isleworth & Syon School for Boys
Students will study a range of skills over the two years including performing, use of music technology, interpreting scores, composing and performing their own work, compositional techniques, analysing music, listening and understanding of music and specialist options. Students will study units including Pop music and Jazz, World music and Sacred Vocal music. How you will be assessed: At AS level students will be assessed in three areas: Performing One or more solo piece(s) and performing four times during the course - including a recital of a piece of work written by the student. Composition Producing a portfolio of technical exercises and a composition Listening Two written papers on listening and understanding.
