Course description
This course combines the study of both human and physical geography and includes a fieldwork investigation. It is dynamic and opens the mind to the wider world and the issues that impact on society.
Course content
AS: Rivers, Coasts, Population and The Geography of Health.
A2: Hazardous Environments, Ecosystems and World Cities. One unit is a geographical fieldwork investigation.
Entry requirements
Minimum of 5 A*- C grades in at least 4 different GCSE subjects, including English and Maths
A grade B in the chosen subject is required. English and Maths grades will be used to indicate ability for options where no GCSE grade is available. (e.g. Film studies).

Exam 100%
Future opportunities
Geography prepares students not only for a Geography degree or a similar discipline but it is also a pathway to subjects such as Law, Business, Town Planning and Design. Geography involves students making decisions and is therefore ideal for any job demanding problem solving such as Human Resources.
