Course description

The Apprenticeship

This is suitable for people with little experience you will have a job and a wage.

The Apprenticeship will take around 12months to complete and incorporate:

The Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Business & Administration

Key Skills in Communication & Application of Number

Level 2 Technical Certificate in Business & Administration

Course content

The Diploma

You complete 4 mandatory units:

Manage own performance in a business environment

Improve own performance in a business environment

Work in a business environment

Communicate in a business environment.

You also choose optional units (usually around 6-10) from a selection suiting a wide range of job roles.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but you must be able to demonstrate your competence in a real working environment


This QCF Certificate is assessed in your own workplace and you will be allocated an Assessor who will visit you to carry out observations of your work and help you to identify relevant evidence of your competence in work

Financial information

The Skills Funding Agency requires Acacia Training to choose Apprenticeship funding over any other form of funding where there is a choice. The Apprenticeship is now available for all ages (subject to eligibility) and is made up of a framework of the QCF Certificate and Key Skills/ Functional Skills.

To access this funding via Acaia Training, applicants must be working for or carrying out voluntary work under contract of employment with a local employer in the South West Region.The NVQ is also available commercially to those who are not eligible for funding at a price of £1100 +VAT.
