Barbering C&G Certificate Level 2 (VRQ)3 at Kensington and Chelsea College

Course description

The aim of this qualification is to provide you with the knowledge and skills to cut men’s hair into a variety of fashion looks. The skills developed include layering, club cutting, scissor over comb, use of clippers and attachments, texturising/thinning, using a razoring and freehand cut beards and moustaches, shaving and face massage services.

The knowledge acquired will enable you to understand how to choose suitable cutting techniques and tools, work carefully and efficiently and to give aftercare advice and information on further salon services

Entry requirements

As part of your learning experience and study programme, learners aged under 19 who don’t have English & Maths GCSE at A-C will be required to undertake this either at Functional skills level or GCSE level.
