Personal Training Level 3 Certificate at LeSoCo

Course description

This course progresses from the Certificate in Fitness Instructing. The programme is for you if you want to gain an industry standard qualification that will enable you to join the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs), and work as a personal trainer in public and private gyms and leisure centres, or as a self-employed personal trainer. As a student on this course, you will complete two theory exams (Level 3: Anatomy and Physiology, and Level 3: Principles of Nutrition). You will also complete specific units on: Planning and Managing Personal Training Programmes, including adapting programmes to clients' needs; Risk Assessment and Health and Safety; Customer Service; Motivating and Evaluating Progress; and Planning, Marketing and Selling your Business to Clients.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grades A*-C; one of which must be GCSE English or GCSE Mathematics. Or successful completion of a Level 2 substantial qualification in a related subject - plus an initial assessment that indicates an appropriate level of English and mathematical ability, and a satisfactory reference.

Future opportunities

Successful completion of this course can lead you directly into the fitness industry and you might like to apply for roles in the personal training field.
