Fine Art at Blessed George Napier School
One of our main aims on the fine art course is to support students on their creative journey and help them to explore their skills and potential. Through class workshops, tutorials, gallery visits, independent study and collaborative projects, students respond to a brief, investigating and exploring their ideas through a wide range of media and materials. Their personal portfolio should demonstrate a combination of technical knowledge, experimentation, thorough critical/contextual studies which inform their ideas, a range of media and processes and above all it should reflect the student and their creative passions.
A minimum of five A* - C grades at GCSE is required for all students wishing to enter the Sixth Form and the student should also have gained an A or B grade in the subjects they wish to take.
