Performing Manufacturing Operations - Level 2 CG Diploma at Middlesbrough College

Course description

This course is designed for learners wishing to progress in a career within the manufacturing sector. The main objective of the qualification is to offer the opportunity to prove competence of industrial performance, knowledge and understanding in the technical certificate and to progress in a career in manufacturing. Students will also experience the new STEM centre with additional training adding further employability skills to your CV including Health and Safety in practice, risk assessments, work permits, working at height, working in confined spaces, manual handling and 1st aid at work and more specialist training as you study your PMO.

L2 Diploma in Engineering (2850-24) Working in engineering Principles of engineering technology Principles of manufacturing technology Machine components using milling techniques Machine components using turning techniques Using CAM processes L2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Manufacturing Operations (7585) Complying with statutory regulations and organisational safety requirements Promoting effective working relationships Preparing for manufacturing operations Receiving and checking incoming materials Contributing to improving effectiveness in the workplace Producing products by assembly operations

Entry requirements

4 GCSE’s with a minimum grade of E’s including Maths, English Language and Science and satisfactory references. Minimum of E3 initial assessment for Maths and English. "If you do not have a Grade A to C in English and/or Maths, you will be required to continue studying these subjects as part of your Study Programme."


This vocational programme is assessed through online tests, workshop activities, and set assignments.
