BTEC Engineering Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma at Sheldon School

Course description

This is a great introduction to engineering covering aspects of both mechanical and electrical/electronic. This would enhance your knowledge and opportunities to study engineering at a higher level.

Course content

Year 1 includes Health and Safety in the Engineering Workplace, Mathematics for Engineering Technicians and Mechanical Principles and Applications.

Following successful completion, you will progress to Year 2 which could include Electrical and Electronic Principles, Selecting and Using Programmable Controllers and Principles and Applications of Electronic Devices and Circuits (subject to awarding body requirements).

You will benefit from the experienced staff and the opportunity to develop practical skills in our new engineering workshops.

Entry requirements

4 GCSE (A*-C) including Maths and English. Engineering requires Maths at the higher tier level.

Assessment

Portfolio assignments.
