Health and Social Care Cambridge Technicals Level 2 Diploma at Paget High School

Course description

A course for students who have an interest in the work of Health and Social Care in society and wish to pursue a vocational area of study.

Students will research their assignments through contacts with local care establishments, work placements and by using information found on the internet, in the school, libraries and in textbooks

Course content

This is a one year course that covers eight units of study.  The course is designed to enable students to learn about

  3. Individual Needs in Health and Social Care.
  4. Ensuring Safe Environments in Health and Social Care.
  5. Vocational Experience in a Health and Social Care Setting.
  6. Emergency Care in Health and Social Care Services.
  7. Creative and Therapeutic Activities in Health and Social Care.
  8. Health and Social Care Services.



  • All units are assessed through assignments.
  • There are no examinations for this qualification.
  • Grades awarded are for Pass, Merit or Distinction

Future opportunities

Students can either pursue studies at Level 3 or move into employment within the care sector
