Diploma in Music Performance and Production (University of the Arts London) - Level 2 at South Thames College

Course description

Explore your skills and expertise as a musician, performer and artist, and gain a technical understanding of music technology and production equipment. You'll play gigs and mix live sound performances to demonstrate your practical abilities. You'll develop your skills in MIDI sequencing, recording and mixing and pick up what it takes to get into the music industry. And you'll have a Gigajam account to help you record, compose and improvise music - and to give you additional qualifications.

Entry requirements

Three GCSEs A*-D including English or maths; OR a relevant Level 1 qualification plus English and maths assessed by us to be at an appropriate level. For the music pathway, you'll also have an audition and have some basic aural assessments in order to make sure the course is a good match for you.

Assessment

Written and practical assignments including performances, composition and technical tasks.

Future opportunities

You can progress to a Level 3 music course to broaden your skills and improve your job prospects.
