Intermediate Apprenticeship in Barbering (QCF) Diploma Level 2 at Acacia Training

Course description

This QCF Diploma is assessed in your own workplace and you will be allocated an Assessor who will visit you to carry out observations of your work and help you to identify relevant evidence of your competence in work. Acacia Training also works with many salon supervisors who can train to become assessors. They are then able to observe you on a weekly basis at work during your planned training activities. The Barbering qualification at Level 2 is made up of 6 mandatory units, and either 2 or 3 optional units. The choice of optional units will be decided by the assessor in consultation with the learner and employer to achieve the best possible outcome and maximise the benefit to the learner and the salon. Learners that have completed the new hairdressing QCF Level 2 qualification or Intermediate Apprenticeship in Hairdressing, may be able to use several of the units to apply prior learning (APL) to avoid any duplication of effort.

Who Should Apply:

Anyone wishing to follow a career in hairdressing and learn the practical day-to-day skills required in providing hair treatments for male clients.

Future opportunities

There are no formal entry requirements but you must be able to demonstrate your competence in a real working environment.

You may already have a Level 2 Diploma or Intermediate Apprenticeship in Hairdressing and you can progress to Level 3 qualifications.

A leaner may work as a junior barber or progress to Level 3.
