Course description

This is a BTEC qualification in Applied Science. You will study six different units across year 12 and 13, covering the following topics: the fundamentals of Science, working in the Science industry, scientific practical techniques, the physiology of human body systems, the physiology of human regulation and reproduction, and medical physics techniques.

This qualification is completely assignment-based and requires a lot of dedication to ensure that all assignments are completed to a high standard. It is a fascinating course which allows an in-depth coverage of important scientific topics and issues, which will help to prepare you for studying some science courses at university.

Entry requirements

Grade C or above in Mathematics and English at GCSE.

Level 2 Pass or above in Principles of Science and Applications of Science BTEC AND/ OR Grade C or above in Science and Additional Science GCSE.
