Course description

Students complete a number of units all designed to give them an excellent grounding in the many aspects of field of science. You will study a range of units including:

  • Fundamentals of Science
  • Working in the Science Industry
  • Scientific Investigations
  • Scientific Practical Techniques
  • Perceptions of Science
  • Using Mathematical Tools in Science

Course content

We base our courses on employment needs of the region. Therefore, you can expect to learn topics that are relevant to the industry. Your course will be made up of a mixture of core modules, that are essential to the course requirements, and units that you can choose to specialize in yourself. You'll be guided by your tutor on which units to choose that will best suit you. You will study a range of units including:-Fundamentals of Science-Working in the Science Industry-Scientific Investigations-Scientific Practical Techniques-Perceptions of Science-Using Mathematical Tools in Science

Entry requirements

Ideally you will be achieving at least 5 A*-C grades at GCSE (or equivalent), achieving a B in your science subjects. This should include GCSE Maths and English. This course is also available in shorter 90 Credit, Sub Diploma and Certificate levels. Call us on 01246500500 to find out more.

Yes - If it's your first full Level 3 and you're aged 19-23 your course is funded otherwise Advanced learner loans are available
