Art & Photography BTEC Level 3 Diploma at Denefield School
Two year course structure (Year 12 and 13) The BTEC Level 3 National Diploma is the equivalent of two ‘A’ Levels. Students undertake a range of units over two years comprising of 720 guided learning hours (18 taught hours per 2 week cycle). The units cover the study of 2D and 3D art, and photography through a series of practical assignments, supported by written elements. Marks are awarded through regular portfolio assessments throughout the course. ·
To study some facilitating subjects or BTEC qualifications you will need to have achieved an average of 40-45 points from your GCSE qualifications (mostly Cs and Bs). You will not be able to study any science or mathematics subjects at AS.
To study BTEC qualifications you will need to have achieved an average of 20-39 points from your GCSE qualifications (mostly Cs and Ds). As a minimum you must have achieved four GCSEs at grade C, including English.
