BTEC Photography at Lymm High Voluntary Controlled School
Students will begin the year by exploring the theme of Fashion. The principle style of learning for this course will be through practical studio based tasks and creative experience. They will be introduced to the SLR camera in manual mode, basic dark room techniques and basic manipulation of images using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Students will then go onto to explore the theme ‘Hidden places and unusual viewpoints’ where they further develop their camera skills. Students are expected to present their research and work in a formal and professional manner.
Students continue with the theme ‘Hidden places and unusual viewpoints. They study advanced alternative darkroom techniques as well using advanced methods of manipulation of their images through Adobe Photoshop. All work completed is exhibited and presented in a portfolio of work.
