Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 3 Apprenticeship at CSM Training

Course description

This Apprenticeship confirms competence in areas of health and social care as appropriate and is the required qualification for registration and regulatory requirements in the social care sector in England. Learners have the opportunity to take a general qualification in health and social care, or they may specialise in dementia care, or learning disabilities.

Course content

Competency Element - Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care

This part of the apprenticeship is competency based and the assessor will gather information by observing and conducting professional discussions.

Knowledge Element - BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care
This part of the apprenticeship is more about the theory, giving an opportunity to prove what the learner knows and how deep their understanding of their job role is.

  • Communication – Level 2
  • Level 2 Award in Employment Responsibilities and Rights in Health, Social Care, Children and Young People's Settings
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)

Future opportunities

On completion of this pathway, learners may progress onto further qualifications specific to their work context. A wide range of qualifications are available for use within the health sector. These may include further QCF qualifications, higher education qualifications or other work-related education and training to support continuing professional development.
