Critical Thinking is a fundamental academic competency and it is useful for students taking a wide variety of subjects. Critical Thinking is learning to analyse arguments. Candidates will learn to take seriously arguments and perspectives quite different from their own. No specific prior knowledge is required. The course will be run at an ‘accelerated pace’ with a limited amount of teaching time so it is only suitable for committed students who are prepared to work hard and who have achieved mainly A/A*s at GCSE.
