A2 Topics:

  • Customs, traditions, beliefs and religions
  • National and international events: past, present and future
  • Literature and the arts

Entry requirements

Grade B in GCSE Spanish or the ability to speak and write accurately in Spanish.

Assessment

AS

  • Unit 1: Spoken Expression and Response (April/May) 30% of AS – 15% of A’Level qualification – 50 marks - Externally assessed-  8-10 min
  • Unit 2: Understanding and Written Response (June) 70% of AS – 35% of A’Level qualification – 70 marks-  Externally assessed - 2 hrs 30 min

A2

  • Unit 1: Spoken Expression and Response (April/May) 30% of AS – 15% of A’Level qualification – 50 marks - Externally assessed - 8-10 min
  • Unit 2: Understanding and Written Response (June) 70% of AS – 35% of A’Level qualification – 70 marks - Externally assessed - 2 hrs 30 min

In the A2 level examinations, students must also expect reference to the topics covered at AS level.
