Hospitality BTEC Level 3 at Southport College

Course description

This course explores the wide variety of services provided by hospitality organisations, whilst offering a thorough introduction to the skills required for success in the industry.

Customer service and business skills are key and you will look at the range of services offered in hospitality departments, very much developing a supervisory focus.

Consists of 60,120 or 180 credits over 1 or 2 years. The units covered include subjects such as;

Marketing for Hospitality

Entry requirements

Minimum of 4 GCSEs at A*-C with a D or above in English and maths or Pass in a related Level 2 Diploma and D or above in English and maths, plus inteview and suitable references

For students who have not yet achieved a grade C in Maths or English it is compulsory to study either Functional Skills or GCSE in each relevant subject. Attendance at these sessions are a vital part of your course to enhance your employability skills and prospects.

Assessment

There are a variety of methods of assessment, including written assignments, work-based projects and role-plays.
